Have you ever stopped to wonder about the girl behind the screen?
Have you ever stopped to wonder if she is truly okay? You have no idea what the woman you’re watching is actually feeling today, or what she was feeling when the content was made, no matter how she appears to feel in the content. What appears to be enjoyable is not necessarily truly enjoyable.

A lot of women genuinely enjoy creating sexual content, feel good about what they do, and make that choice freely. But what if she only does sexual work because she sees no other way to financially support herself, her kids, or her addiction? What if she really enjoyed making the content, but changed her mind a year later, and now she can’t get it off the Internet? What if she didn’t enjoy making it at all, what if she was pressured, forced or threatened into making it? What if what first felt consensual and exciting for her ended up leaving her feeling as though she had been raped for money? What if she is repeatedly trying to get the content taken down, but someone is re-uploading it again and again against her will on different websites?

In my own experience, some sites operate from countries where enforcing copyright laws can be very difficult, which means that the creators may never be able to get their content removed from the Internet. I bet you don’t think about that when you get off while browsing content on different sites, do you?

I don’t mean to make you believe that none of it is enjoyable, pleasurable, or freely chosen, because that would be deeply untrue. I simply mean to make you stop and wonder for a little while. To have you ask questions you may never have thought to ask.
