Candyman” (1992) as personal Kink

So there’s this movie club for Kinksters in town - where they show movies that have kinky/ BDSM/ fetish themes.
Made me think if I’ve seen any movies with any kind of kinky elements or vibes. One that came to mind was ”Candyman” (1992) that definitely for me gave a kind of twisted, sexy yet scary Dominant ”seduction” vibe. It’s a horror movie that tackles white academia, appropriation and race, along with the power of tales and belief. Synopsis from IMDB: ” Intrigued by local legends, Helen investigates the myths and superstitions surrounding the one-armed Candyman. However, she confronts her worst nightmare when a series of murders start taking place.”
Tony Todd in real life was a tall glass of water with a voice that just demanded obedience; so naturally his portrayel of Candyman’s relationship with the movies final girl, Helen Lyle, gave Dark romance aesthetics for me. There’s just something about a dangerous, wronged man who desires you, swoops you up in his arms and promises that ”the pain, I assure you, will be exquisite”. ”Be my victim”, Candyman’s catch phrase to Helen, is dark but erotic proposal from a Dom if I’ve ever heard one! 😋
In the original script Helen actually did profess her love for Candyman but it got cut since the producers were worried the interracial aspect of the scene would be too risky for audiences (🥲I hope the producers soup was always too hot and burnt their tongue).
