Kinbaku Maniac is a Japanese term for a kinbaku enthusiast… This is a weekend workshop for those who want to look, hear, and dive deeper into the historical kinky part of Japanese kinbaku. It is for you who want to play with the dream of becoming a Nawashi or Kinbakushi - a person who makes a living from tying, typically in the sexual underground culture. It is a profession that has changed a lot – most of the older kinbakushi’s are not among us any more, died or retired, and some are now making a living off teaching and giving sessions. Not many can live in the shadow of tying for kinbaku photos, films, shows or sessions. But we can live out the imagination…. We will look back at history, delve into the craft and atmosphere from night life Tokyo, and play with seduction, dominance and beautiful tying. You will hear stories, see pictures and video, and try to be challenged as a Nawashi. In this workshop we will tie advanced, aesthetically beautiful floor play and suspensions, and will put pressure on and challenge the rope models. PRE-REQUISITIONS RIGGER You: - are experienced in ropes and suspensions, and tie efficient gotes, uplines and suspensions that works for your rope model - want to explore ropes for erotism and dominance, as well as challenge your rope model in a hard and loving way - know your and your rope models strength and limitations quite well, physically, mentally and emotionally ROPE MODELS You: - are comfortable with being in basic suspensions - know your strength and limitations quite well; physically, mentally and emotionally - curious about being tied in erotic and challenging ties - body and risk aware - you want to contribute to the flow in ropes, through surrendering and polarity BOTH - You have a strong communication together - verbally as non-verbally - You know each other and want to explore deeper, intimate ropes with polarity. - It is up to you together, to decide how far you want to go. We will tie suspensions and create sessions that can become erotic/intimate and with dominance, control and pressure on the rope models. Please notice: This is not the workshop to bring a random rope partner. ABOUT US Scot has been a part of the kinbaku community for over 25 years, and introduced Tanja (Namárië) to ropes in 2008. Our passion developed through intense rope practice and play, and since 2012 we have been teaching and presenting ropes. We created our own community (2013) and venue (2015), Kinbaku Lounge, and since we have travelled a lot, performed and presented workshops and rope related talks, domestic and abroad. Over the last decade, we have been travelling to Japan, where we have spent great times with the main kinbaku masters, who continuously pushes, challenges and inspires us. For us ropes is about sexual SM-play, fantasies and polarity, and we are deeply inspired from the people who have contributed to our rope journey, yet we are not dogmatic in our approach to kinbaku.
