Shibari Östersund presents: Slow rope with YogaNoir, a full day workshop + 2 hrs open tying. Why Slow Rope? you ask... Well, when I tie.. I have found that slow, minimalistic, sensual, poetic, intimate, non linear, creative tying (coupled often w partial suspensions ) is most enjoyable for me. I have also been dancing Butoh since 2020 and have found a home in this deliberate slowness that gives rise to so many deep emotions and sensations we have buried, its like digging up bones, inviting our shadows to come forward and take space. It can become deeply cathartic for both, to share and hold space for another in rope like this is truly amazing & also very HOT. ----------------------------------------- YogaNoir has been teaching somatic/ conscious movement- yoga and creative, explorative rope since 2009 here in Sweden, 8 years at Shibari camp and other places in the UK & Copenhagen. Attendees must have basic knowledge of safety awareness in ropes and fundamentals of floor work. (if you have been to one of Kashmiro's events, you're good to go). Unfortunately, no suspension points are available. Our exercises will invite you to interact with one or more partner(s) and sometimes change partner(s) between exercises. The exercises are open enough that you can engage with them at a comfortable level. No dress code! Just bring your lovely self! We do however ask for you to keep your knickers on. If you don't have rope we have a communal rope pile that you are free to borrow from. Timetable: 10.45 participants arrive 11.00 workshop starts 13.00 lunch break (homemade vegan food will be served) 14.00 workshop pt 2 16.00 workshop ends, open tying begins 18.00 closing time Housing: if you're traveling, housing can be provided close to the workshop location for a very small fee.
